An hour and half form Orlando and an hour from Tampa, Ridge Manor is a farming community that has a couple of hidden features. One of which is an old run of abandoned train tracks that was reclaimed and paved over for use as a biking and hiking trail. The other is that they have an 18 hole golf course that is geared towards apes on a budget. For $10 you can play a full round and that includes a cart. Located just east of the center of Florida, this small city can give you access to more urbanized places, but is at it’s heart still a farming community.
Another nice thing is that this section of Florida averages over 150 above sea level. If all the glaciers and ice caps around the world keep melting, you’ll have the pleasure of living on a tropical island without having had to move!
